Update to the forecast: high tomorrow of 6 degrees, overnight low of -11, and the windchill is far worse. I've enjoyed my first Iowa "blizzard conditions," complete with interstate closures and the cancellation of the scheduled ACTs for the local area. It wasn't so much the amount of snow, but it is very powdery and the winds were high so visibility was horrible. Because of how the snow drifted, I had to wade through knee deep drifts to reach the driveway side of the house, while the side of the house with absolutely nothing to worry about is almost bare ground. I shoveled enough to decide that snow blower is my next investment. :)
15 degrees on Sunday.
For the high.
And people keep warning me that we haven't hit the "real" winter weather yet.
